The reasons for the vibration of the pump unit are very complex. From the point of view of the causes of vibration, there are mainly mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and other aspects. If the bearings are hot when the pulp pump is running, the reasons should be investigated and dealt with from the following aspects:
    1) Insufficient lubricating oil or poor oil circulation;
    2) The quality of lubricating oil is poor, and impurities cause corrosion, wear, and inflexibility of bearings;
    3) Severe bearing wear;
    4) The pump and motor are not concentric;
    5) The fit between the bearing inner race and the pump shaft journal is too loose or tight;
    6) When using a belt drive, the belt is too tight;
    7) Due to excessive axial thrust, the balancing holes on the impeller should be cleared one by one.
Hydraulic aspects:
    1) Excessive suction leads to cavitation at the impeller inlet; When water flows through the impeller, bubbles appear in the low-pressure area, and when it reaches the high-pressure area, the bubbles collapse, causing impact and vibration. At this time, the installation height of the pump should be reduced;
    2) When the pump operates at non design points, excessive or insufficient flow can cause pressure changes or pulsations in the pump;
    3) If the pump sucks in foreign objects, blocks or damages the impeller, it should be shut down for cleaning.
    4) The shape of the water inlet pool is unreasonable, and when several water pumps are running in parallel, the arrangement of the inlet pipeline is improper, causing vortices to deteriorate the suction conditions of the water pumps.
The vibration caused by resonance is mainly generated when the natural frequency of the rotor is consistent with the speed of the water pump. Based on the above fault reasons, judgments should be made and corresponding measures should be taken to solve them.
Mechanical aspects of overheating of pulp pump bearings:
    1) Impeller balance not calibrated, immediately corrected;
    2) The pump shaft and motor shaft are not concentric, and should be corrected;
    3) The foundation is not firm, the arm support is not firm, or the anchor bolts are loose;
    4) The rotor of the pump or motor rotates unevenly.
